The Crisis Project proudly present their double A-side: Compress/Omission. Blurring the lines between left-field hip hop, forward-thinking electronica, and 80s synthpop, the songs fracture and mutate providing a cinematic soundscape with hints of Flying Lotus, Prefuse 73 and James Blake. Compress, the more vocally led of the two tracks, grinds with an infectious claustrophobia before cleanly breaking into moments of synthetic clinicism. Omission, on the other hand, ebbs and flows with delicate precision; a simultaneous eruption of skittering percussion, serene piano and haunting chorales.
